The Journey:

Each day in Costa Rica offers a new landscape, a new rhythm, and a new sense of adventure. Mornings begin with a fresh breakfast of tropical fruits and local coffee - simple, energising, and the perfect fuel for the days ahead. There’s always space for an early walk or yoga before we set out on the day’s adventure: a guided walk through the misty cloud forests of the Talamanca Mountains, a visit to the crown jewel of Costa Rica Corcovado National Park, or galloping on horseback along lush coastline.

We’ll visit a family-run organic coffee farm to experience the full journey from bean to cup, and later, for those who wish, take to horseback along a deserted Pacific beach - the kind of wild freedom that defines pura vida.

Afternoons are yours to enjoy: perhaps spot sloths and scarlet macaws in the canopy above our lodge, book a massage, or paddle through glowing bioluminescent waters as the sun sets.

Our route takes us from San José into the cloud forests of Talamanca, down to the lush rainforests of Manuel Antonio, and finally to La Fortuna, a region of hot springs, jungle trails, and unforgettable volcanic views. Each stop reveals a different layer of Costa Rica - vibrant, alive, and deeply connected to nature and community.

You’ll be led by Alfie Laurence, a multilingual tour leader fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, French and English, with over five years of experience leading small-group adventures across Latin America and Europe. Alfie combines a deep love for travel with a background in education and cultural exchange, ensuring the journey is both inspiring and effortless. His calm presence, curiosity and genuine care for each traveller create the feeling of exploring with a trusted friend.

Together with our local experts - from Pablo, our gifted naturalist guide, to Don Carlos, our ever-cheerful driver — you’ll experience Costa Rica through the eyes and hearts of those who know it best.
