Trip Overview:

The trip kicks off in San José, Costa Rica’s lively capital, where the group meets and settles in before heading off the next morning to the mountains of Tarrazú, one of the country’s most famous coffee-growing regions. We’ll visit a local coffee farm to learn about the process from bean to cup, with plenty of time to soak in the surroundings and taste some of the freshest coffee you’ve ever had.

From there, we make our way to San Isidro, a charming mountain town that gives us a more local, off-the-beaten-path experience. It’s a great spot to relax, stretch the legs, and get a feel for daily life in rural Costa Rica.

Next up: Corcovado National Park, where we’ll spend two full days immersed in nature. This place is a biodiversity hotspot—think jungle hikes, toucans overhead, monkeys in the trees, and maybe even a tapir and crocodile if we’re lucky. It’s wild, remote, and one of the highlights of the trip.

We then saddle up for a horseback jungle safari, riding through trails with local guides who know the land like the back of their hand. It’s an unforgettable way to explore the landscape and a secluded beach within the Corcovado National Park. It's another great chance to spot wildlife.

After a few days in the South, we head North to the coast to unwind in Playa Hermosa. Expect warm Pacific water, surf lessons if you're up for it, and stunning sunsets each evening. It’s a beautiful, laid-back beach town—the perfect breather mid-trip.

The final stretch of the journey takes us to La Fortuna, home to the iconic Arenal Volcano. Here, we’ll explore waterfalls, zip-line through the canopy, go white-water rafting down rivers, and end the day soaking in natural geothermal hot springs—the perfect way to relax and recharge before we wrap things up.
